All About Ms Nicki Minaj :)

Nicki Minaj was born Onika Tany Maraj on December 8, 1984 in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in New York after turning 5. After a few mix tapes, Nicki began to make a name for herself showing up on tracks by major rap artists before releasing her much anticipated debut LP in 2010 Entitles 'Pink Friday'

**December 8: Nicki Minaj was born.



2009

**August: Nicki signed with Young Money Entertainment.
**November 23: Nicki could be heard on the Birdman LP Priceless (deluxe edition) on the track "Grindin' Making Money."
**December 8: Nicki could be heard on the Gucci Mane LP The State Vs. Radric Davis on the track "Sex In Crazy Places."
**December 15: Nicki could be heard on the Robin Thicke LP Sex Therapy on the track "Dang-A-Lang."



2010



**May 4: Nicki could be heard on the Trina LP Amazin' on the track "Shakin' It 4 Daddy."
**July 3: Nicki hit the Top 40 with "Your Love."
**August 21: Nicki hit the Top 40 helping out Jay Sean with "2012 (It Ain't The End)."
**August 28: Nicki hit the Top 40 helping out Sean Kingston with "Letting Go (Dutty Love)."
**September 12: Nicki was nominated for a MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist.
**September 25: Nicki hit the Top 40 helping out Trey Songz with "Bottoms Up."
**September 27: Nicki could be heard on the Lil Wayne LP I Am Not A Human Being on the tracks "What's Wrong With Them" and "YM Salute."
**September 28: Nicki could be heard on the Gucci Mane LP The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted on the track "Haterade."
**October 02: Nicki hit the Top 40 with will.i.am with "Check It Out" giving her 4 songs in the Top 40 at once.
**October 30: Nicki topped the Billboard Rhythmic Top 40 chart for a week helping out Trey Songz with "Bottoms Up."
**November 20: Nicki hit the Top 10 helping out Trey Songz with "Bottoms Up."
**November 22: Nicki released her much-anticipated debut LP Pink Friday. The LP hit the Top 10 in the US and Canada.
**December 17: Pink Friday was certified platinum.
**December 18: Nicki hit the Top 40 with "Right Thru Me."



2011



**January 1: Nicki topped the Billboard Rap Albums chart with Pink Friday.
**January 22: Nicki topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with Pink Friday.
**January 29: Nicki performed on Saturday Night Live.
**February 13: Nicki was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group ("My Chick Bad" with Ludacris).
**February 19: Nicki topped the Billboard Rap Songs chart with Drake with "Moment 4 Life."
**February 19: Nicki topped the Billboard 200 LP chart with Pink Friday.
**February 26: Nicki topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hip Songs chart with Drake with "Moment 4 Life."
**March 5: Nicki hit the Top 40 with Drake with "Moment 4 Life."
**May 21: Nicki hit the Top 40 with "Super Bass."
**May 28: Nicki hit the Top 40 helping out David Guetta and Flo Rida with "Where Them Girls At."
**July 2: Nicki hit the Top 10 with "Super Bass."
**August 28: The video for "Super Bass" won a MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Video, and was nominated for Best Female Video. The video for "Moment 4 Life" was nominated for Best Collaboration.
